I purchased the original Cardputer a few months ago and experimented with it briefly.
Things I tried:
- running Doom (of course)
- trying out the Bruce firmware (a Flipper Zero alternative)
- exploring other firmwares via M5Burner
Then my interest faded away [or to be fair, my ADHD kicked in and I moved on to other projects].
Then recently I came across the Cardputer Advanced and my interest came back, the dedicated LoRa module powering the imagination. Currently awaiting the delivery of the Lora module.
Main difference compared to the original `Puter is the 14P expansion port and, suprisingly, the 3.5mm audio jack [ouput only].
So at the moment I am vibing with the SomaFM web radio on one unit, while playing around the the IDF framework on the other. Oh, and one massive game changer is the Launcher firmware, which makes it super easy to switch between firmwares stored on the SD card.
